Assorted Button Polyps
Protopalythoa Sp.
The Button polyp corals vary in colour from brown, yellow, pink, blue and green dependant on the lighting they are under, they are colonial with many individual polyps living in a close proximity on a piece of rock. They have the ability to sting other corals, the sting is not very strong and corals will recover if placed a safe distance away. Polyps are an easy to keep soft coral and are suitable for beginners and experienced aquarists alike. Button polyps require medium light and a medium to strong water flow.
The colonial polyp will reproduce heavily in a healthy environment, they often come loose of their rock and let the current take them to another location in the tank to help spread the species;. They obtain most of their energy through photosynthesis, but the addition of micro plankton will help if lighting isn’t optimal
Button polyps will be shipped out as many polyps attached to a piece of live rock
