The Discosoma mushroom corals are a hardy colorful coral with many colour and pattern forms. They will not harm corals placed near them but will require space around for growth. Mushrooms are an easy to keep soft coral and are suitable for beginners and experienced aquarists alike they will spread over a piece of rock in a short time. The Discosoma requires medium light and a medium to Weak water flow.
The Mushroom coral obtains some of its energy from photosynthesis, it also feds of other nutrients suspended in the tank water, it will also benefit from the addition of phytoplankton and micro plankton, and brine shrimp for larger individuals
Discosoma Corals are shipped out as many heads attached to a piece of live rock
