Red top trewavasae
Labeotropheus trewavasae
The Red Top trewavasae is a stunning fish from Lake Malawi in Africa, its name derives from its colouration having an intense red dorsal fin and blue contrasting body.
The Red Top requires a tank of at least 200 litres or more with plenty of rocks for territories and a sandy substrate. The Red top is aggressive by nature so should be housed with equally aggressive Malawi cichlids some; it is not suitable for a community setup
The Red top trewavasae Cichlid will accept flake foods but vegetarian supplements like algae and Nori should be offered to ensure a healthy diet, the addition of meaty foods like brine shrimp and blood worm will be accepted gratefully.
