The Taiwan Cichlid is a beautiful hap from Lake Malawi in Africa. There is little colour difference between male and female.
The Taiwan Cichlid requires a tank of at least 300 litres or more with plenty of rocks for territories and a sand and gravel substrate. The Taiwan reef cichlid is relatively peaceful for a fish of its size, so should be kept with other equally peaceful cichlids;it is not suitable for a community setup
The Taiwan Reef cichlid will accept flake foods, but some vegetarian matter like nori or algae wafers should be offered to ensure a healthy diet. In the wild this fish follows others feeding off of the floor and eats their leftovers from the substrate.
