Our fancy goldfish are some of the varieties of goldfish that have been produced by selective breeding in the Tung hoi farm in china
Driftwood, rocks and a gravel substrate will make goldfish more. Gold fish are capable of reaching sizes of 30 cm when properly looked after, so should have a good sized aquarium. The fish are regular and prolific spawners, sometimes capable of producing up to 1000 eggs at once. Goldfish are omnivores, and will eat pretty much anything.
They do not require a high protein diet, and will do well on specialist goldfish flakes or pellets. Being very peaceful, the goldfish can be kept with many other common community inhabitants, mountain minnows make good tank mates
