Blue Betta - Male

Betta splendens

The Betta is a Siamese fighting fish. These fish have been bred over the years to enhance the fins colours of the males. Only one male should be kept in a tank; however, smaller, shorter-finned females may be housed together with caution.

Betta’s should be housed in an aquarium with a constant temperature, and no fin nipping tank. In nature bettas van survive for long periods of time in puddles, because of this natural ability, they can be kept in tanks as small as 10 litres as a sole inhabitant

Provide the Betta with a carnivorous diet consisting of a quality flake food, frozen or freeze dried bloodworms and brine shrimp.

Due to variations within each species, your aquatic life may not look identical to the image provided.
