Pearl Danio
Danio albolineatus
This is an excellent fish for the community aquarium. It has a beautiful pearl body with a blue tint to it. The fish is a very active member of the Danio group and because of this they will need plenty of swimming room. A glass lid needs to be kept on the tank at all times, as the fish tend to jump. This Danio is a very active swimmer, doing best in a community tank, with 5 or 6 other fish of the same species.
Like all other Danios, the Pearl Danio is an egg layer and spawning is thought to be stimulated by changes in the amount of daylight. Being omnivorous, the fish will eat flake foods, and any other preparations.
