White Spotted Catfish
Agamyxis pectinifrons
The Spotted Raphael is also known as the "Talking Catfish". When being transfered and out of the water the fish emits a loud high pitched croaking noise. The fish does this by grinding the base of its pectoral fin bone against its shoulder bone. They are a peaceful solitary fish and will generally not bother other tank mates
white spotted catfish are hardy fish that tolerate most water conditions as long as extremes are avoided and that can be kept with most other fish. The aquarium decoration is mainly up to you but you should provide them with caves to hide in. You should always keep more then one white Spotted catfish and preferable in groups of 5 or more fishes. They will accept most food sources, and will eat snails
Since they are omnivorous, the Spotted Raphel Catfish will generally eat all kinds of live, fresh and flake foods though they seem to prefer brine shrimp (live or frozen) and blood or tubiflex worms
