Chalk Bass
Serranus tortugarum
The Chalk Bass is a beautiful, hardy and easy to keep addition to the marine aquarium, which acclimates readily to an established aquarium. They can be kept in small groups if introduced simultaneously.
It requires a tank of 80 litres with plenty of rock work and hiding places, it will swim around the top of the tank in the open. The Chalk Bass is reef compatible and wont touch shrimps, sponges, corals or clams. The Chlak Bass is not a fussy eater and can be fed an assortment of foods including, flake, live and frozen meats.
