The Threadfin Cardinal is a peaceful, sometimes timid marine fish as it glides around the tank effortlessly. These fish should be kept in groups of at least 5 as a group they will establish their hierarchy relatively peacefully

The Threadfin cardinal requires a tank of 70 litres or larger with plenty of hiding places, it likes to hide in sea grass like caulerpa sp. when available. The threadfin cardinal is reef safe and will not touch any corals or shrimps. They usually adapt well to frozen and even dried foods, but should be supplemented with meaty foods like brine shrimp and crustacean flesh.
