Tomato Clownfish
Amphiprion frenatus
The Tomato Clownfish is one of the more resilient of the clownfish, especially the tank bred varieties which is almost indestructable. Best kept individually or in a mated pair as they are aggressive towards each other and all other types of clownfish
The tomato clownfish requires a tank of 120 litres or larger with plenty of hiding places. The tomato clown is reef safe and will not eat any corals or shrimps. The tomato clown will host in some anemones in captivity but is happy without. They usually adapt well to frozen and even dried foods, but should be supplemented with meaty foods like brine shrimp and crustacean flesh.
