The Blue Velvet Damselfish a hardy fish with striking juvenile colouration. Best kept in schools when younger, but become aggressive towards each other and similar species when older.
The Blue Velvet Damselfish requires a tank of 120 litres or larger with plenty of hiding places. Blue Velvet Damselfish are reef safe and will not eat any corals or shrimps. They usually adapt well to frozen and even dried foods, but should be supplemented with meaty foods like brine shrimp and crustacean flesh as well as herbivorous foods like Nori.
