Blue Damselfish
Chrysiptera cyanea
The Blue Damselfish is a great fish for beginners it is hardy, and it gives off a beautiful electric sheen as it swims. Best kept in groups in larger aquariums, with only one male or can be kept as a pair in smaller aquariums. It can become more aggressive as the fish gets older particularly to more peaceful tank mates.
The Blue Damselfish requires a tank of 120 litres or larger with plenty of hiding places. Blue Damselfish are reef safe and will not eat any corals or shrimps. They usually adapt well to frozen and even dried foods, but should be supplemented with meaty foods like brine shrimp and crustacean flesh as well as herbivorous foods like Nori.
