Blue fin damsel
Paraglyphidodon melas
The Blue fin Damselfish is a great fish for beginners as it is hardy. Best kept individually, or in larger numbers in a big aquarium, its tank mates should be on the aggressive side to stop any potential bullying.
The Blue fin Damselfish requires a tank of 200 litres or larger with plenty of hiding places. The blue fin can be a threat to soft corals and some invertebrates. They usually adapt well to frozen and even dried foods, but should be supplemented with meaty foods like brine shrimp and crustacean flesh.
