Three Spot Damselfish
Dascyllus trimaculatus
The Domino Damselfish is a great fish for beginners it is hardy, and able to survive in conditions that other fish couldn't tolerate. Best kept in pairs or as sole adults in a relatively aggressive aquarium as they become increasingly aggressive as they mature. They are known to hide in anemones for shelter when younger
The Domino Damselfish requires a tank of 200 litres or larger with plenty of hiding places. Domino Damselfish are reef safe and will not eat any corals or shrimps, but will eat some algae. They usually adapt well to frozen and even dried foods, but should be supplemented with meaty foods like brine shrimp and crustacean flesh as well as herbivorous foods like Nori.
