Zebra dart fish
Ptereleotris zebra
The Zebra Dart fish is one of the most peaceful aquarium fishes, and should be kept with similarly peaceful tank mates; it is an elegant looking fish, but disease resistant. Best kept in pairs or small groups and introduced simultaneously.
It requires a tank of 90 litres or larger with plenty of hiding places, coral rubble and a sandy bottom, they will bury themselves at night and when spooked if the sand is fine enough. The zebra dart fish is reef compatible showing no interest in corals or shrimps. They usually adapt well to frozen and even dried foods, but there diet should also contain meaty preparations
These fish are jumpers so a tight fitting lid is required
