Cherub angelfish
Centropyge argi
The Cherub, or Pygmy Angelfish is one of the hardiest dwarf angels making it popular to both the experienced and beginner aquarist alike. Best kept individually, since it can be territorial with its own kind, and similar species. A male and female pair can be kept, and may even spawn in a large enough aquariums, above 180 litres
It requires a tank of 120 litres or larger with plenty of hiding places. Most dwarf angels are algal grazers, but also eat small non-sessile invertebrates, like brine shrimp and mysis. The cherub angel has been known to nip at LPS corals, some softies and clam mantles. They usually adapt well to frozen and even dried foods, but benefit from the addition of some vegetable material like Nori.
