Flame Angelfish

Centropyge loriculus

The Flame Angelfish is an exciting and very popular addition to the marine aquarium. Best kept individually, or introduced last, as it can be quite aggressive when first introduced. Best put in an established aquarium, as they are sensitive to poor conditions and don't tolerate copper treatments

It requires a tank of 120 litres or larger with plenty of hiding places. When kept in a larger environment the fish will be more placid. Most dwarf angels are algal grazers, but also eat small non-sessile invertebrates, like brine shrimp and mysis. They usually adapt well to frozen and even dried foods, but benefit from the addition of some vegetable material like Nori.
