Neon Blue Goby
Elacatinus oceanops
The Neon Goby is one of the most popular fish to have in a nano aquarium, its small adult size and slender body make it a low waste producer as well as a strikingly coloured fish. Multiple specimens can be housed and have been known to breed in home aquaria
It requires a tank of 50 litres or larger with plenty of hiding places. Does well in a reef aquarium and doesn't bother corals or crustaceans. They adapt well to flake and frozen foods and like frozen meat. The neon goby can also act as a doctor fish removing white spot cysts off of some fish.
