The Randall's Shrimp Goby is one of the hardiest small gobies making it popular for beginners. Multiple specimens can be kept together in a large enough system, the Randall's shrimp will even co habit in a cave with other species of shrimp
It requires a tank of 90 litres or larger with plenty of hiding places and a lid as it can jump out when spooked. Does well in a reef aquarium and doesn't bother corals, they have been known to nip at small invertibrates. They adapt well to flake and frozen foods, they may not eat for a few days when first introduced, and can be overpowered by larger bottom feeders
