The Yellow Watchman Goby is one of the hardiest pistol shrimp gobies making it popular for beginners and nano tanks. Multiple specimens can be kept together in a large enough system. They will form a symbiotic relationship with pistol shrimp of the Alpheus sp.
It requires a tank of 90 litres or larger with plenty of hiding places and a sand substrate to dig a cave in. Does well in a reef aquarium and doesn't bother corals at all but when larger may eat small crustaceans. They adapt well to flake and frozen foods and like frozen meat
