Red Grouper

Cephalopholis miniatus

The Red grouper is a colourful hardy grouper making it popular to both the experienced and beginner aquarist alike. Best kept individually as it will fight with other groupers.

It requires a tank of 400 litres or larger with plenty of hiding places and areas of low lighting. The red grouper isn’t reef safe as it will eat any crustaceans including cleaner shrimp as well as any small fish it can swallow whole. The red frouper will need to be fed meaty foods like marine fish and crustaceans.
