Marine Betta
Calloplesiops altivelis
The Marine Betta is a handsome, unusual and hardy fish making it popular to people looking for something a bit different. They should be housed individually as it will fight with other betas, but is peaceful with all other fish
It requires a tank of 200 litres or larger with plenty of live rock to hide in as it is very timid when first introduced, but will become more adventurous as time goes by. The Betta is excellent in a reef setup and wont touch corals or inverts. They will eat meaty foods like finely chopped sea foods and brine. They usually adapt well to frozen and even dried foods.
