Caribbean Blue Tang
Acanthurus coeruleus
The Blue Caribbean Tang is popular with beginner and experienced aquarists alike due to its light blue colouring and different body shape. Can be kept in groups when younger but should be housed individually when older unless in a large aquarium of 600 litres.
It requires a tank of 300 litres or larger with plenty open water for it to swim in and live rock to graze on. Tangs will eat meaty foods, but should also be supplemented with vegetarian matter like Nori to keep them healthy. They usually adapt well to frozen and even dried foods, but benefit from the addition of some vegetable material like Nori. Some adults can also have a yellow tail
Approximate Purchase Size: Small 4cm- 6cm, Medium 6cm - 8cm
