Powder Brown Tang
Acanthurus japonicus
The Powder Brown Tang isn't seen as often as the powder blue, but is just as appealing with striking colouration. Best kept individually and only with other more peaceful tank mates as it can be retiring when first introduced.
It requires a tank of 300 litres or larger with plenty open water for it to swim in and live rock for grazing on. Tangs will eat meaty foods, but should also be supplemented with vegetarian matter like Nori to keep them healthy. They usually adapt well to frozen and even dried foods, but benefit from the addition of some vegetable material like Nori.
