Unicorn Tang
Naso Unicoris
The Unicorn Tang is popular with experienced aquarists due to its striking coloration and relative hardiness. Best kept individually as a showpiece fish due to its large adult size. The unicorn tang is a peaceful fish but may show aggression to other unicorns. The juvenile unicorn tang is a light blue to grey colour with blue spots and no ‘horn’ this typically develops as the fish reaches a size of 15cm
It requires a tank of 700 litres or larger with plenty open water for it to swim in and live rock for grazing. Tangs will eat meaty foods, but should also be supplemented with vegetarian matter like Nori to keep them healthy. They usually adapt well to frozen and even dried foods, but benefit from the addition of some vegetable material like Nori.
