Dragon Wrasse
Novaculichthys taeniourus
The Dragon Wrasse is a striking, unusual and relatively hardy fish that's adult and juvenile forms differ quite a lot, it is also known as the rock mover wrasse. The Dragon wrasse should be housed individually when older, juveniles will be relatively peaceful in the community aquarium, but adults can become more aggressive
It requires a tank of 300 litres or larger with plenty of rockwork and a deep sandy bottom to hide in and sleep at night. The Dragon wrasse not suited to a reef system, as it eats small fish, invertebrates, and can flip over corals and rocks in search of food. Wrasses will eat meaty foods like finely chopped sea foods and brine. They usually adapt well to frozen and even dried foods. These wrasse are known for its jumping so a tight fitting lid is a must
