The Lyre tail Wrasse has a very colourful body and beautiful face, which is often seen poking out of rock work. The Lyre tail wrasse should be housed singularly or in a male/female pair in tanks larger than 500 litres.
It requires a tank of 300 litres or larger with plenty of live rock and unrestricted swim space. The Lyre tail wrasse isnt a good reef fish and will eat almost all invertibrates and small fishes, it wont bother corals however. Wrasses will eat meaty foods like finely chopped sea foods and brine. They usually adapt well to frozen and even dried foods. These wrasse are known for its jumping so a tight fitting lid is a must
