The Money Cowries get their name from when they were used as currency. It is egg-shaped and glossy with a smooth surface. It is an excellent grazer that remains small in size
They require a tank of 40 litres or larger with plenty of rockwork to clean . The money cowry is reef compatible and beneficial to a reef setup grazing on all types of micro algae and detritus. A natural scavenger they are self sufficient in the home aquarium and should have enough natural food growth to live.
The Money cowry, like all inverts is intolerant to any copper based medications
