The Nassarius Snail is a great sand sifting snail suitable for all home aquariums. They can be housed in groups in aquariums, but should be added slowly so as not to let them starve
It requires a tank of 10 litres or larger with plenty of sand area in which to scavenge. The Nassarius snail is reef compatible and beneficial to a reef setup eating any leftover foods, detritus and fish waste in the sand. A natural scavenger they are self sufficient in the home aquarium and should have enough natural food growth to live
The Nassarius snail, like all inverts is intolerant to any copper based medications
