The fish are transported safely and humanely and are housed in our state-of-the-art aquarium system. Helping make the aquarium-keeping hobby environmentally responsible
In order for the aquarium hobby to be environmentally responsible, there are a few improvements needed. Netting of natural water sources at unsustainable levels must be stopped, damaging netting practices must be stamped out (e.g. using Cyanide etc for catching fish) and many more species must be farmed worldwide. The collection of fish from the wild does not impact only the fish caught, but the whole ecosystem. Development of more sustainable practices is encouraged by us using supplies of tank-bred fish wherever possible. Where tank-bred fish are not available, we choose to use suppliers, who have already implemented environmentally sound practices.
